Our instructing party (a large 3PL) is in the middle of the process of a contract extension with a large electronics producer. The plan is to use a simulation model to gain more insight into the operational process, including the in-house logistics process. With this simulation tool, it is possible to make better commercial agreements with the customer and to set up more effective delivery processes.
In order to achieve more detailed pricing, our client wants to gain in-depth insight into the cost drivers of the operation. WeY has laid the foundation for the development of a realistic warehouse simulation model by mapping the operational process at a high level and collecting and analyzing the available data.
