Challenges
The interim Project Manager role included responsibility for implementing the Transport Management System (TMS) I for a client in fashion business. The implementation scope included 3 warehouses, 11 countries, 25 hubs, 95 stores, and 20 carriers. The project team was internationally located. Management consultancy services were provided from late April to October 2025.
Approach
- Form and motivate the project team.
- Prepare and sign stakeholder documentation: project scope definition document and project definition document.
- Establish stakeholder management with a corresponding consultation structure.
- Establish workstreams with a corresponding consultation structure.
- Develop a detailed project plan with clear responsibilities and deadlines.
- Develop, monitor, and report to the project budget to the steering committee.
- Develop a phased go-live plan with go/no-go decision points for the steering committee.
- Adjust and manage the project organization to achieve the set goals within the timelines.
Results
The project was successfully completed:
- according to the established schedule;
- on budget;
- according to the established quality standards;
- wihin the established project scope.
